Ten days ago, right before the snowstorm hit New York, I went out to photograph a light, hesitant snowfall in Manhattan.

The city felt strange — grey, quiet, almost undecided. Not many people. Not much drama. Just that muted, in-between mood.

I walked through Wall Street, around the Brooklyn Bridge, past the Financial District, then drifted up through Chinatown and all the way to 14th Street.

It took me ten days to finally sit down and select a few frames. Sometimes the photos need time to catch up with the feeling.
