The Fourth of July: Fireworks (Part II)

Three days ago, on the Fourth of July 2026…
While thousands of people gathered to watch the official Macy’s fireworks, I decided to go in the opposite direction.
Just five blocks from my home, neighbors were celebrating in the middle of the street with their own fireworks, music, food, smoke, and laughter. No barriers, no VIP areas, no perfect viewpoints—just people creating their own celebration.
Sometimes the real story isn’t where the big event is happening. It’s a few blocks away.
